Planning on buying new equipment? Do you need new motivation for your skiing? How about trying something new? Above all: Surely you want your children to have a great start, so why not get a professional to safely instruct your children to get the most out of snow play?

Salla Ski Resort – the Ski School will help you get the best for your money. In this way, you can enjoy the sports more than before. In addition to private lessons, we also offer a range of different courses for children and adults alike, for all skill levels and in every snow activity: downhill skiing, snowboarding, telemark, and cross-country skiing.

Salla Ski Resort’s Ski School is a ski school recommended by the Finnish National Association of Skiing Instructors.

Ski pass at ski school

The ski school price does not include a lift ticket. For beginner skiing or snowboarding lessons, at least a carpet lift ticket or a beginner area ticket is required. These types of tickets can only be purchased at the ticket office, not online. Ski pass prices you can find here: Ski pass rates

Children under 6 with a helmet receive a free lift ticket when a parent has a valid lift ticket. The free ticket can be collected at the ticket office by presenting the parent’s valid Salla Ski & Active lift ticket. Children under 6 must always be accompanied by a parent on the slopes.

Private lessons

During private lessons you get intructions according to your skill level. Private lessons fit those, who are trying witner sports for the first time or want to improve their own skiing technique.
With the teachers guidance you get personal instructions alone or with a friend, which makes learning more effective and fun.
Private lessons are 50 or 90 minutes long.
The minimum age limit for ski students is 5 years and 7 years for snowboard students.

For children under 7 y.o. we offer 50 min private lessons, the price of the lesson is 60 euros. 1-3 hour rental set for child under 12 years old costs 19 euros.
We recommend to start with one lesson, to see how will it go. Quite often under 5 year old children simply do not have enough strength to break with alpine skis or hold on the lift.
For those younger than this, we recommend the Little child’s test lesson(30min).
Our staff can advise you on the right lenght of your lesson.
Private lessons are available everyday according to our ski resorts opening hours.

Little child’s test lesson

First time lesson for smaller children who can’t attend group lessons yet.
Ski lessons for 3-4 year-olds and snowboard lessons for 5-6year-olds.
If you and the child would like it, you can extend the lesson to 50min with additional 20€ charge

Family Lesson

If you all beginners and your children are older than 7, we would suggest the Family lesson for the first skiing day. During the Family lesson whole family stays together and instructor shows and explains basics which are suited for everyone.

A ski school reservation is binding, but we understand that unexpected situations can occur. If you are unable to attend due to illness, your lesson can be cancelled or rescheduled.

To keep everything running smoothly, advance bookings should be confirmed by 5:00 p.m. on the day before your lesson. You can confirm easily by calling +358 16 837 711 or emailing ski@salla.fi.

To get the most out of your lesson, you’ll need the appropriate equipment. If you don’t have your own, our rental shop offers high-quality gear for all skill levels.

We’re here for you in all weather — the ski school does not have a temperature limit.

3.2 If the consumer cancels their participation in a course no later than fourteen (14) days before the start of the course, the consumer shall be entitled to receive the full booking fee paid beforehand.

3.3. If the consumer cancels their participation in a course later than fourteen (14) days, but no later than twenty-four (24) hours, before the start of the course, the ski school shall be entitled to withhold half the booking fee paid beforehand.

3.4 If the consumer cancels their participation in a course later than twenty-four (24) hours before the start of the course or does not arrive on time at the agreed training location, and the no-show is not the result of the consumer falling ill, the ski school is not obligated to return the booking fee paid beforehand. In addition, the ski school shall have the right to collect the full course fee, less any booking fee.
